A very warm welcome to the St Michael’s Catholic Primary School Daceyville website. It is our hope that by exploring these pages you will gain a strong sense of our vibrant and contemporary Catholic learning community, rigorous learning opportunities and inclusive environment.
St Michael’s is a co-educational primary school in a peaceful Eastern Suburbs setting, with a rich history in the Marist and Daughters of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart traditions. This charism upholds that our educators, before all else, love their students and want the very best for them. Our approach to education is marked by integrity, excellence, family values, an appreciation of our work and presence in the midst of those whom we are called to serve.
St Michael’s welcomes all students, whatever their circumstances, offering each one an education that draws faith, culture and life into harmony. We strive to provide a school where our students can live our motto – to love, learn and dream the future – every day.
We are strongly committed to promoting an education where every child is seen and supported in their development as a whole person, assisting them to grow intellectually, spiritually, physically, socially and emotionally.
St Michael’s pastoral care programs focus on building relationships across the community and helping students to communicate openly, solve problems and grow in resilience. We value our partnership with parents, parish and community, understanding that it takes a village to raise a child.
We are firmly focused on a cycle of continuous improvement, informed by the direction of Sydney Catholic Schools as they move towards Magis 2033, current research on what works best, and feedback from our students and community.
As the newly appointed Principal of St Michael’s, I encourage you to tour our beautiful school facilities and experience the warmth and welcome of this learning community. We can be contacted at info@stmdaceyville.catholic.edu.au or by calling (02) 9344 8512 to make a booking to join one of our many learning walks throughout the year. We look forward to meeting you soon.
