Our Catholic school is part of the Catholic Church. We work in partnership with our local parish and priests in order to enrich the spiritual life of the students, staff and families of our school, especially through the celebration of the Sacraments.
St Michael’s Catholic Primary School Daceyville works collaboratively with Fr Phan and the members of the parish to plan Liturgical events during the school year. A class attends most Friday Masses. The staff has the opportunity to foster their religious leadership by working in teams to organise whole school Masses for feasts or significant occasions. Parents are always welcome to attend these celebrations.
The school and parish work in partnership for the sacramental programs for Confirmation (Year 6), First Eucharist (Year 3) and First Reconciliation (Year 2). All children from each sacramental year and those from the parish participate in a preparation and reflection day before the Sacrament. An information evening is held to support parents as their children begin each new sacramental journey.
We ensure the students continue to be spiritually nourished through receiving the Eucharist at Mass as well as Reconciliation.
